The Art of Wool Care
Your wool gear is an investment in comfort and performance. Proper care ensures that the natural benefits—stealth, warmth, and breathability—last for generations of outdoor pursuits. We focus on longevity so you can focus on the hunt.

General Care Instructions

Storage Practices
Store your clean wool items folded in a cool, dry place. Avoid hanging heavy wool coats for long periods, as it can stretch the fibers over time.
Reducing Friction
To prevent pilling, minimize contact with abrasive surfaces like rough backpack straps or velcro. If pills occur, use a fabric comb to gently remove them.

Airing Out
Wool is naturally odor-resistant. Often, hanging your wool gear in a well-ventilated area or outdoors for a few hours is enough to refresh it without washing.

Step-by-Step Washing
01. PREP
Turn garments inside out. This protects the outer surface fibers from abrasion and keeps your natural patterns looking sharp for years.
02. HAND WASH
Use cool water and a mild wool detergent. Gently submerge. Avoid scrubbing or wringing, which can damage the delicate natural scales of the wool fiber.
03. MACHINE WASH
If choosing machine wash, use only the 'Wool' or 'Delicate' cycle with cold water. Ensure the spin cycle is set to low to prevent fiber felting.
04. RINSE
Rinse thoroughly in cool water until the water runs clear. Never use fabric softeners, as they coat the wool and reduce its natural breathability.

Drying Rules
The key to longevity is patience. Never use a dryer or hang wet wool, as gravity will stretch the fibers. Instead, lay your garment flat on a clean towel, reshape it while damp, and allow it to dry naturally away from direct sunlight or heat sources.
Spot Cleaning Guide
Accidents happen, but natural wool is remarkably resilient. For most stains, immediate action using a gentle spot-cleaning approach will preserve the fibers and keep your gear looking new. Remember: always blot, never rub.
Quick Tips
- Act quickly while the stain is fresh.
- Use cool water and a mild wool-safe detergent.
- Blot with a clean, white cloth.
- Work from the outside of the stain inward.
Mud & Soil
Allow the mud to dry completely. Gently brush off the dried dirt with a soft brush. If a mark remains, dab with a solution of wool-safe detergent and cool water.
Coffee & Tea
Soak up as much as possible with paper towels. Mix a teaspoon of wool detergent with warm water and a splash of white vinegar. Blot the area gently until the stain lifts.
Grease & Oil
Gently blot the surface with a cloth dampened with a wool-safe degreasing agent or dry-cleaning fluid. Do not saturate the fabric. Press with clean, dry towels after.
